SACOP Health Assistance Program complements free clinic consultations with established and institutionalized partnership network with doctors, clinic and hospitals for patient referrals; the conduct of medical and dental mission every quarter in partnership with parishes or in far off and poor communities; assistance in partnership surgeries for harelip and cleft palate, and cataract patients; and the implementation of community-based health program in assisted coastal, upland and urban poor communities.
A one-year intensive training on preventive health care and basic health services produced 25 Community Health Volunteers (CHVs) who facilitate health assistance and interventions in the assisted communities in close coordination with the Rural Health Units.
