Alay Kapwa

Implemented by the Catholic Bishop’s Conference of the Philippines in all the dioceses nationwide, it is the resource mobilization program of SACOP that campaigns for the sharing of one’s time, talent and treasure in favor of the poor and the needy. It calls for the equitable sharing of resources that those who have less may live in humane condition. It creates a venue for sharing and opens avenues for the poor to improve their life.

For better understanding of the program, different materials and modules about Alay Kapwa are distributed in parishes and schools as reference materials and support training kits.

Alay Kapwa’s major fund campaign modes include the Alay Kapwa Envelopes distributed during lent in parishes and schools, 2nd Collection on Ash Wednesdays and Palm Sundays (designated as Alay Kapwa Sunday) in all parishes, CAnS coin banks distributed with families and business establishments, and donations directly supporting the various humanitarian services.
